AAA Sub-Region (District 5.6,8,9) Week 7 Rankings
1. Clearfield 5-1 Defeated Bellefonte 42-7 Next up: Tyrone Previous: #1
Clearfield has a big game with Tyrone on Friday night at home. A win over the Golden Eagles would likely wrap up a conference championship for the Bison.
2. Somerset 5-1 Defeated Westmont 38-3 Next up: @ Bishop McCort Previous: #2
Somerset has reeled off three straight wins since the loss to Bedford. The Golden Eagles appear to have found a rhythm, and all they need to do now is focus week to week without looking ahead to the week 10.
3. Johnstown 4-2 Defeated Richland 24-13 Next up: @ Westmont Previous: #3
Johnstown overcame a halftime deficit to take down Richland last week. It snapped a two game losing streak for the Trojans. They have a tough game on Saturday as they have to head up the hill to take on Westmont in the always-tricky 1:00 game.
4. University Prep 4-2 Defeated Carrick 40-8 Next up: Allderdice Previous: #4
Prep handled City League rivals, Carrick, last week to improve to 4-2. They have another City League showdown on Thursday this week against 3-3 Allderdice.
5. Punxsutawney 3-3 Defeated Allegheny-Clarion Valley 23-6 Next up: St. Mary's Previous: #5
The Chucks climbed back to .500 with a win over Allegheny-Clarion Valley last week. Punxsutawney has a tough matchup with 5-1 Saint Mary's coming to town.
6. Bellefonte 1-5 Lost to Clearfield 42-7 Next up: Penns Valley Previous: #6
The Red Raiders dropped their third straight contest last week to fall to 1-5. It looks like there is a winnable game on the horizon this week for Bellefonte with two win Penns Valley coming to town.
7. Bradford 0-6 Lost to Franklin 56-21 Next up: @ Dubois Previous: #7
Bradford still can't get into the win column, and they seem to be struggling with the high scoring District 10 big school league. They have to head to AAAA Dubois on Friday.
