I thought about Berlin. I wasn't sure about where they were 10+ years ago. But they without question are 1 of the top teams in the past decade. Coach Paul is doing a great job up there.

Berlin started trending up around 2003 (coach Paul's first year) after being bottom dwellers and became dominant recently.  I think 2003 was also the year Windber's 49-game regular season winning streak ended
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

2012: 9-4, Lost in D6AA Championship
2013: 7-5, Lost in D6AA Semi
2014: 5-6, Lost in D6AA 1st Round
2015: 5-6, Lost in D6AA 1st Round
I  know a couple of those seasons saw good teams blown up by injuries, but it looks like a downward trend, to "one of the herd."
2016: ???? (Hopefully, a climb back to Relevance)

223113, I think they'll rebound a little, but not much. Maybe 6-4 for sure, 7-3 hopefully. Still young and smallish for a FH team. After Cecere yrs. , expect another dropoff.

I hope you're right. Maybe I've become spoiled over the years. It was just in 2009, and 2010, that they won back-to-back D6AA Championships,...but seems like a long time ago, haha. Maybe I'm just getting old. Hey! Merry Christmas!

All the teams mentions plus several that may slip our minds have all had their day/night in the spotlight.
As you all know in the public high school they all have their up & down years.  Congratulations to all of
the schools who made these lists.
You must understand Raven for the lovefest he has with the Golden Eagles.  Being a Raven when young
he always wanted to fly high with the Eagles however he wouldn't go any higher than the paper mill
smoke stack.   He always roosted there and looked into the distance at Gray Field.

Doesn't your post admit to the difference between D5 and D6.   You admit to the dominance of Portage in their conference but they have never won District 6.  In fact they have played in very few finals meaning that they were not even in the top two most years.
