Re: D5 Ultimate Team of the Decade
Krupa would be another Honorable Mention (HM) I believe he placed once (6th) and was a state qualifier once. I have Hixson as my starter cause he placed twice, 4th and 7th. Hall TM and Reed EV would also be (HM).

Here's a reason to select Nick Roberts for OW

He was 16-1 ... at Hershey!

It ain't over until it's over.
Re: D5 Ultimate Team of the Decade
My memory isn't quite working today, but bedford has had some absolute hammers in recent years in the lower weights. Isn't there anyone on the 4th place team that would make this list?
Re: D5 Ultimate Team of the Decade
What list are you referring to? I see Ryan Easter on Stoneycreek's list on Page 1 of this thread ...CRWizard wrote:My memory isn't quite working today, but bedford has had some absolute hammers in recent years in the lower weights. Isn't there anyone on the 4th place team that would make this list?

Re: D5 Ultimate Team of the Decade
I counted 16 wrestlers that Bedford has sent to States over the past 10 years and I could be off by one or two but I don't think any of them would take the place of the guys on my list. Gabriel and Ryan Easter I already have and if I were to add anyone else it would be an Honorable Mention. Here they are in order: Devin Cook, Corey Thomas, Brian Gibbons, Trey Easter, and Tommy Ripple. If I have missed anyone please let me know. All these guys had good careers but its hard to make the list when you have guys already on there that have been high placers at States multiple times.CRWizard wrote:My memory isn't quite working today, but bedford has had some absolute hammers in recent years in the lower weights. Re: D5 Ultimate Team of the Decade
Krupa from Bedford is best HWT in past 10 years IMO. He got called for slam in state semi's or there was a very high probability he was a state finalist.
The lower weights are so tough D-5 has had a lot of good one's. Bedford Easter, Gabriel, Cook, Thomas, the ripples over the past few years.
Gibbons from Bedford should be on the list. There is no one in the weights 160-182 from D-5 as good as him over the past 10 years. He had no state medal but was 3 time qualifier and has wins over state champs. If you are going strictly by hardware I understand the picks, if you want the best wrestlers he should be on the list.

Re: D5 Ultimate Team of the Decade
No argument from me about Krupa, he could be a 1 or 1a with Hixson. They can be interchangeable. Gibbons was definitely a quality guy that probably could make my list but Cahill was two points away from making the finals last year so I gave him the nod. I believe Dibert had a little better career than him too but its probably really close.
