I agree... I have been saying the same thing for years. Use your best relievers in the highest leverage situations. Worry about out 27 when you get to it. "You play to win the game." Notice that great quote isn't "You play to not lose the game."
And the guy who always seemed to come in and get holds last season at crucial points in games; Hughes, is still yet to be added to the pen. In all honesty, the starter may only need to go 5 innings and then could turn it over to the pen.
