A conference championship game, between winners of 2 different sections, is just a bit of fluff. Make good news in declaring the conference champ. But WHERE does it say that the winner of the game IS the best team in the conference? You've got to ELIMINATE sections in a conference and play the #1 and #2 finishers in the ENTIRE conference. The inequity of talent in TWO separate sections is apparent in ALL conferences with sections. No sections eliminates a sub-par team from taking a spot in the final 4 playoff teams.

Konjo, the only reason I would say that would happen is that the PAC 12 is Not as good as a conference as the B1G 10. As I said earlter has Washington even beaten  top 10 team this year?

But PSU would have the #2 and #6 if they win today and beat Wisconsin. That is a better resume and a better conference champion.

But wash would have beaten more top 25 teams. And didnt lose a game to an unranked team. Like i said a 1 loss wash will he higher than 2 loss psu.

Not to mention Wis might not even be #6. They are losing just like penn state

In their last 5 games since the OSU win, PSU opponents have a final season record of 22-38. Take out the Iowa game, the it would be 14-34. What kind of resume is that?

Do you mean tearing as in crying, or tearing as in ripping? Yes, that 10 win season. They actually only beat 4 teams with winning records, and all of those victories came at home. That's a GREAT resume for starters.

I know you know I'm a Pitt fan. But THAT has nothing to do with determining the final 4 CFP teams. However, if PSU doesn't get in, it will be because of Pitt.
