honestly....who cares about sportsmanship? Whatever it takes to win, unless it is really profound, like something really extreme, but little stuff is just part of the games.

if you are THAT into winning, you have no right to even participate in a sport. especially if its only jr. high. it makes me sad to think that there is a person like you in the world of sports who cares more about winning than his/ her own respect, dignity or sportsmanship.
and it is something quite significant when a coach *suppose to be number 1 role model* encourages unsportsmanlike behavior.

Wow, you can tell this is a Jr. High forum. Just a couple of points though:
1) If Pete was that arrogant he would be in varsity this year. He is wrestling JH to gain some confidence, because he doesn't have enough of it.
2) The sport of wrestling is about inflicting pain. Your main focus is to inflict enough LEGAL pain so that your opponent will want to give up. Chinning a guy is certainly legal. It in no way risks injury.

BisonBlue I wouldn't say that you should have good sportsmanship Ripple was just mad because pete bet three of his guys and I'm pretty sure he chinned all of them. Brandon Hartrompf is a sore loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason why Westwood is such a good wrestler is because he puts time into it!!! He dedicates himself to this sprot!!! Westwood eats, sleeps, and lives this sport!!!!! I sure don't want to wrestle him he'd probably kick my butt in 10 seconds. He's talented. I believe Mr.Westwood has a goal this year...... and I think that is to win! So far I think he's doing pretty good, don't you think?
