i understand ur plight d-nice, but i feel i am not what you could call a bandwagon jumper. i started watching uconn when they had ray allen in like 1995. i really like how they ran in transition and what type of player ray allen was and still is today. i was too young to be a true fan then but really found my stride the year before the huskies won their first national championship in 1999. i knew that team was great in 1998 and had all the guys coming back in 1999 to win it all. ive been true ever since yet have not had a chance to voice myself until the advent of this beautiful site, and it just so happens that this year was the year they won it all. i think it is good that some people one here like different teams b/c if this site were all just pitt fans, there wouldnt be much to talk about...j/k

by the way, i like unc in the acc b/c they get everybody back plus they could get 2 awesome recruits in marvin williams and jr smith. it doesnt count for much, but smith was very impressive in the mcdonalds game. w/ the nba draft in mind, the way i see it is that if unc gets one of these 2 guys and duke has either deng or livingston, i like unc. if duke has both deng and livingston, i would say duke is the favorite. if they all leave, ga tech is the favorite. imo all these favorites would be in the acc of course.

i will attest for theoneandonly b/c we have had some pretty good debates since 1999. he went to the maui invitational in the early 1990's and saw duke has not been right since.

I'm a UNC fan...but if you call me a bandwagon jumper you're an idiot because they haven't done anything in the last few years. Total inconsistantness(is that a word?) Although they did beat UCONN earlier this year...

JR Smith competed in his 3rd all-star game in the McDonalds All-American game. The NCAA rules stipulate if you compete in more than 2 all star games after your final high-school season you are subject to losing your first year of college eligibility. The punishments are handed out on a case-by-case basis, and they haven't yet decided what they're doing with Smith. I imagine if they tell him he can't play his first year in college he'll enter the draft.

It seems to me that after UConn stumbled early in the season all you heard was ACC this year! In fact that is all you hear every year. Watch out for the BE again next year. Pitt, Syracuse, Notre Dame and UConn all will be strong. Also, I have a question. Why is it that all Penn State Football fans seem to be either ACC or UConn basketball fans?

My guess for most of them is they don't like rooting for a loser.

the pirates have pretty much been losers over the past dozen years, and i have been w/ them all my sports loving life. also, i like psu basketball, but i dont talk too much about them on here b/c there isnt much to talk about w/ them. i havent really been watching them either for the same reason, they are not much to watch.

i dont think i need to explain why i like uconn, all i know is that i do and have for a while. they had a bad season like 4 years ago when albert mouring was supposed to be a star but didnt pan out. i watched them every game they were on tv that season. they got killed by syracuse on espn and that was a terrible time, i was a fan then and am a fan now.
