that was pretty dumb Gunner....

3rd in the Big East in catches, a TD AT Notre Dame, like 11 catches in one game...etc. If he had played his senior year he would have had an even better chance to shine. Everything he did was pretty much in his junior year. An injury hurt him his senior year...he played only like 4 or 5 games. Maybe he wasn't Heisman great or anything but not many people are. He did finish 3rd in the Big East in catches behind Shockey and someone else. That is IMPRESSIVE no matter how you try to spin it.

Catches in a bowl game shouldn't count, so I still say he was second that year! How did we get on knocking Hollywood again when the topic was about some kid from Bedford?

its tough to go D-1 in football but maybe one of the kids from bedford will go,,,,,,,,,,in 1996 i went to a local game around this area to see a big time prospect play and this guy from williamsburg named kyle davis totaly shut this prospect down,,,,it was almost like davis was the big time prospect!!,,,,,,, the guy went on to have a decent college career anyway,,,,,,,,his schools homepage has him at 55 career catches and 3 tds!

i seem to remember the game being at the roaring spring field house on a saturday night near the end of the (96) season because the night before i was scouting for central a loch haven. it would have been williamsburg and the prospect was on the team that they played at the roaring spring field house. i remember the team kept trying to throw alot of fades to the prospect but davis was up to the challenge and williamsburg won the game. thats basically the extent of the memory. maybe someone on the board can remember the prospects name!!!
