Anthracitia, the newly discovered planet. Antracitia was first brought to light in the famed Coal Bible, discovered buried underneath a pile of dinosaur bones by lunatic Confederates digging earthworks during the battle of Antietam.

That's right, ladies. Science has a confirmed new planet, with a photo. If this was American Gladiators, Science would be one more step up the cargo net. It's only a matter of time until Moldo sees the error of his crazy ways and converts to the winning team.

Let's try to keep coal out of this thread, please.

You see, that's the problem with science. It can only kick a field goal, when religion scores a touchdown!!

we're still waiting for religion to break the huddle. "We're serious, I swear we're gonna run a play, you just gotta have faith in us!"

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Because people of religion recognize science. But people of science do not recognize religion, at least in terms of explaining the world around us.

Sure, I accept it. I accept you're evidence of "this is just how it is". That's an excellent argument if you're insane.

And I demand props for how funny this thread is.

Moldo, that is one of the funniest things I have heard. What do you mean people of science don't except religion? Many scientists, including Newton, Darwin, and Einstein, believed in a higher power. Do remember, there are more then one religion in the world. Even within Christianity, there are many sects. Just because they don't follow your line of thought does not mean they are wrong. To me it looks like many people of religion do not recognize science. Oh, and would you mind showing me your college physics thesis on why carbon dating is wrong?

I said, "People of science do not recognize religion, AT LEAST IN TERMS OF EXPLAINING THE WORLD AROUND US". Please read the ENTIRE quote. Remember selective reading???? For example, I have NO trouble agreeing with science on things like adaptation and survival of the fittest. I agree with tectonic plates, how fossils are formed, etc. But find me ONE scientist who agrees with the Story of Noah, Adam and EVE, Parting of the Red Sea, Tower of Babel, Jonah and the whale. They won't even consider that these things happened, because they defy the natural laws of science; laws that men of science are chained to. See what I mean. I'm willing to work with science to explain things. They ARE NOT willing to work with the Supernatural, the things they can't explain. What else can I say?

They aren't fundis you mean? Just because they don't literally believe the Bible does not mean they don't believe the Bible itself. I believe in the Bible. Just not how you do. Does that make me or you less correct? No. Also, I guess you don't consider science a religion.

Edit: Forgot a "don't".

You gotta give some props to Noah for supposedly having enough room to sit around the deck of his arc. I mean, there must not have been too much room with 2 of every species on Earth crowded on a wooden ship.
