Re: How does your 2005 team look
welll.....the last two posts where two of the worst posts i have ever see in my entire life. first i will talk about el-moldo's post. Alumni scholarships for athletes huh? Well that's far from the truth.....People pay for kids to go to school there, but it is most defnatly not just for athletes. There are so many kids who arent athletes that are helped pay for their schooling. Friends at the Tribune is funny as well...It's not McCort's fault they had a good year last year so they got the press. remmeber 2003 when mccort had a sub-par year? they didnt get much press. So...if u are realy in need of press that bad...tell ure team to start working hard. And the other note i am disgusted with would have to be the games broadcasted on the radio as a way to recruit players. I know that Johnstown has their games on the radio as well....they don't use this as a way to recruit and neither does mccort it is simply for the school to broadcast their games  now to my buddy pale rider who indeed has a serious hate for the crushers. maybe it's because he can;t fce the fact that the rangers got pounded one week by mccort then lost first round in the playoffs.
hmm first off...player transfers...my gosh, many schools have transfers...once again the "natural" recruiting has helped mccort the kids want to go to school where they have the best chance at going to college (98% of the graduates go to a 4 year college) which is McCort. Early illegal practice at UPJ.....hmmm from what i know these were not mandatory my friend. since mccort doesnt have a field of its own they used a field at upj....these were just conditioning workouts which are the same as weightlifting in the off season. Domonkos had the flu which was why he didnt bppt the ball into the endzone as he had the previous week...did he use a different ball im not sure but from what u are sayin he did but even at that i guarantee it wasnt smaller as u stated. and as far as the sigaling on the cell phone ive never even heard that so i have nothing to say for that.

A 9-0 Bedford team got no press in the Tribune, just small write ups and little box scores, OH BY THE WAY, they did beat the bigger, stronger, faster, amazing Crushers from Bishop McCort. But yea, a 7-2 McCort team deserves it all.
For you FH faithful out there, wanna talk about shady officiating? How about 2 'inadvertant' whistles vs. Bedford in 2003? And a phantom block below the waist on another LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG Harris touchdown run. Funny how those things seem to happen...

First of all, you've only posted 18 times, so you ain't seen nothing yet. All of this has been rehashed before. Pale Rider and I know what we're talking about. And yes Johnstown games are on the radio, but unless you move into the Johnstown school district, how you gonna transfer there? Pay a tuition to attend GJHS and live somewhere else? Right? Any kid listening to McCort games on the radio can be influenced to attend there by the subtle messages during the commercial breaks. Just listen to them. Plain as day! Things Pale Rider have said can be substantiated. Heck, I even saw the guy with the cellphone, who put it away everytime a Ranger coach came near....As far as 98% of McCort kids attending a 4 year college. Hey, they should. Don't they have to apply to attend there. Most come from stable home life situations. If you can afford private school, you can afford college. Where are the special needs kids? The shop kids? Kids attending there are GEARED for college. Statistics can be used for any purpose you want.
Re: How does your 2005 team look
Thank you sir. I couldn't have said it better myself....but as far as 98% going to college....let me say that not all the kids from great wealthy family backgrounds. So the people that have the money want to see other kids succeed so they pay for the kids to go to this great institution. No matter if they play football or not they can get into the school....it's not for the rich. why wouldnt a kid want to go to a place where he has a great chance to get a scholarship for football??????????

Let me understand this. A. Not all BM students are athletes. B. Not all BM students have wealthy parents. Am I right so far? C. A "group" of those wealthy parents ante up money, presumably as "Boosters", so that those unfortunate kids, athletic and non-athletic alike, can then attend BM. By reason of common logic then, if someone other than your parents pay for you to attend BM, it must be via "scholarship", is it not? What schools, other than those other parochial schools, (especially those that draw from "20" school districts as you said), have an even chance against a school like BM? This is on the merry-go-round again. Maybe the trickle-down effect of a new Conservative hardline POPE will shake out some changes in this diocese. FYI- My Mother was a Catholic.

ham55- In answer to your inquiry: It seems to me and most all Ranger fans that every time we come down there, we are the ones getting HOMERED! Other than that, there have been many games through the years of an enjoyable nature in this series. I look forward to many more. BTW- since Bedford is the only school in the state with a winning record against FH, why would one or two calls matter? Aren't your boys the more dominant?

Ham...you can be glad the Bison's play the Rangers in week 3. I would bet if the Rangers and Bedford squared off in weeks 8 or 9 the results would be much different. The Rangers get much better from week to week, the Bisons do not. I could draw on previous years to back this up, but I'm sure you don't want to relive the memories.
As far as the Bisons and McCort beating FH last year, good, they did, they were the better team. End of Story. I might speak for myself here but I haven't made a single excuse for either of those games. Officiating is officiating, sure one call can be magnified in the game, but the kids decide the outcome. For the most part, it all comes out in the end.
As for McCort being this almighty program all of a sudden? Gimme a break. You should be embarrassed your team even lost a game last year with the amount of talent you had. You said it yourself, 20 school district to choose from. Give Bedford, Tyrone, or FH even one more district to choose from, and no other team will ever win a D6 again.
Period.
