I don't think the players are playing for the money. I could be wrong, but you can think what you want. I guess college players are getting paid now? I was talking about the players, not the colleges.

I was talking about the purpose of bowl games in general. If colleges didn't want money, they wouldn't be playing them in the first place!

Wow, tell everyone something they didn't know. I don't think there'd be too many sports be played on television or anywhere for that matter if money wasn't involved. Good call, flea.

LOL! That is true. In the purest sense, college players are playing for the honor and glory of their college/university, or for the love of the game. In the realistic sense, most major schools try to maintain a good football team for more money, and many of the players are playing for future money (NFL). It depends on the player, the school, and every other circumstance that one can probably think of...

The entire Notre Dame football team is getting Xbox 360's for christmas. Not to mention the 500 dollar spending limit they have per month. When you don't have to pay for food or clothes, that's as close to getting paid as you can get. Did you also know they are going to school completely free? 100,000+ dollars that they don't have to pay. You're right, they don't get paid at all...

If it's true, that opens up ONE more scholarship for Wannstadt and Pitt for this upcoming year. With 21 commitments already, this could put the icing on the cake for a great recruiting class. And, if true, at least Jennings has enough GUTS to move on when he sees the handwriting on the wall concerning playing time. That's more than we can all say for Austin Scott.

Perhaps Greg is not cut out for masonry duty???

Good for him. Who wouldn't want to be a D-II coach at a successful school. He did wonders at Duquesne before taking the Assistant job at Pitt. And look at what a marvelous job he has done for this years recruiting class. Again, you ASSUME too much for being a teacher.
