Larry Fitzgerald.... a class act
"I don't believe in being cocky," Fitzgerald said. "I have great respect for this game. That's how I was raised."
In my eyes Fitzgerald could be extremely cocky, he's the best player in college football. But it's nice to see someone with his talent be as humble as he is. Maybe a few people on this board should take after him... won't mention any names though 8)

I think that's a good comparison: Jerry Rice-humble as they come. He is humble but quite confident in himself (he was probably taken the wrong way at times though). I heard a good story about Rice one time, which relates to the topic.
To make it short:
Rice was on a bus to, I believe, a college (maybe even hs) all star game of some sort. He hadn't really made too much of a name for himself at that point and when he was asked who he was, he responded "the greatest player in the NFL!"

Rice is probably one of the hardest workers in the NFL too, even at the age of 40. They had one of his offseason workouts on ESPN one day, he took Jerry Porter with him. All I have to say is WOW, he runs and runs and runs then runs some more, then catches passes from a ball throwing machine thing, and then runs routes for his QB, every route in the playbook around 3 times. Then he goes and lifts and finishes with yes, more running and agility work. Easily the hardest worker in the NFL.
and observation from the steeler/raider game the other day...
when the raiders wide receivers came out of the tunnel for pre-game, tim brown seemed to be the leader of the group...he looked like he was up front talking to them and then led them in a lap around the field...i found it interesting that rice wasnt up in the front of the pack right with brown...i dont know why but i found that odd...

ESPN2's cold pizza interviewed Larry for Heisman Fitzgerald this morning. Talk about being humble, when asked about the Heisman and stuff he kept referring back to his team and how well they played this year to get back to another bowl game. He also was asked about entering the NFL or staying in school...he wouldn't give an answer. He's the most respectable player in college and is all about the team and not individual rewards.
DELORIS!!!! "Jerry Seinfeld"
