This kind of topic was started earlier....

There are different ways to look at this kind of thing. This is like trying to pick a better running back between Marion Barber and Reggie Bush. You know what I mean you really cant compare them and say who is better. Some of the kids above mentoned I would love if I played a power running game as a coach. Others I would love as all purpose athletes. Ex. Newton O Saben Keklak and sometimes Lowry and Wadley are power runners. But for Mehall and the rest they do not run straight at you. This is like comparin a pro style qb and a dual threat qb.

As for me.

Running straight at someone.....Newton

In the open field and by theirselves.......Mehall

Foot Race.......Christian

1.Lowry-As an all around back Speed. Strength. Moves.Hands. Hes got it all and would be over 1000 if he didnt share the ball with 2 other very talented backs.
2.Mehall-Very similar to Lowry. Has all the tools and he is a really good football player.
3.Wadley-His ability to get out of some of the situations he gets in like turning losses into 40 yard gains is a gift
4.Christian-So quick so fast and his size is part of how he plays....He is soo small but its hard for defenses to pick him up
5.Newton-Never seen him play....judging on stats and his reputation on here and in the paper he must be good. I'll let you know after Friday's game
6.Julock-He isnt all that big and he doesnt have devestating speed but he reads his blocks then gets to the outside.
7.Keklak- He put together a near 300 yard game when then knew he was getting the ball. Keklak is a very underrated player in this league.
8.O'Saben-once again never seen play but repuation is pretty impressive I'll let you know in two weeks
9.Dykstra-Tough for him playing on a bad team but he his remarkable speed. tough kid
10.Priester-He plays on the wrost team in the league and still puts together some good games.

Also considered.....Ehredt-Bishop Guilfoyle Seidel-McCort Curjica-Richland

The Lowry vs. Mehall dicussion...

Mehall is def. the best open field runner meaning moves and such in the LHAC.

Hands I would say both are very well equipped
Both have above average speed
Lowry probabaly has more power.

I would give the number 1 to Mehall.

Also O Saben is better then some of the players above him.

Thats just showing how underrated Osaben is. In all honesty I would take him over any back in the LHAC. Hes definitely fast, he definitely has power, and he definitely is hard to bring down. He definitely needs to be moved up on that list. Go watch him play, see if you think any other back in the LHAC can stop and accelerate as fast as he can, or has better lateral movement than him.

He's averaging 7.26 yards a carry, and is 2nd in rushing yards behind Newton who has an extra 30 carries on Osaben.
Well let me tell you, nLions1 is a big time friend of Janek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree he SHOULD be moved up. But not to the top of the list.

Stats should not be brought up now for O Sabens sake in the arguement. Mehall has 88 carries for 817 yards which is a 9.28 average. He has 14 receptions for 244 yards which is a 17.43 average. 4 punt returns for 100 yards and 4 kick returns for 114 yards.

All of that combined he is averaging 11.59 yards eveytime he touches the all.

That is pretty respectful, O Saben shoud be third tied with Wadley I think....

This is an opinionated site Amusedchatter. So like i said i would choose Osaben before any other back in the LHAC. I just think hes the most well rounded running back in the conference.

As for O'Saben, he is a much better back then what people think he is.He started off slow but as for the last 4 games (including a strong FH defense) he has been running the ball as good as any of the other backs in the LHAC if not better.

And just because a running back is doing good doesn't mean he is always that good, you have to give some credit to the big guys up front who are making this possible for the running backs all over the league, it isn't just a one man show. It takes a little bit more than just seeing who has the most yards and stats, you have to really look into each team and see what kind of line these backs have.

It's also a whole different story if the team has a good passing attack to go with the run. It's much tougher for the backs to run if your team and their team knows your running the ball 90% of the team.

For ex. Newton, everyone knows he is going to get the ball at least 30 times a game.
