My first BASH BARACK post

Post by southpaw »

So much for hope and change and bringing a different tone to Washington DC. I'm a unite not a divider rhetoric from the new President Elect. In his first major public announcement what does he do? Offers the Chief of Staff position to Rahm Emanuel.
Who is Emanuel? Bill Clintons Chief Advisor partisan liberal neophyte from Chicago. The ultimate DC insider and divider. He the Democrat version of Tom Delay.

Any MSM questioning here? None? pathetic news outlets might as well be the Obama Propagandist Ministry (OPM)!

Just imagne the OPM response if McCain had won and asked Carl Rove to be his Chief of Staff? The response for the OPM would have been loud and clear.........Same old politics, status quo maintained, no change, no reaching across the aisle. etc.

Unbelievable that this moron elect we have made this is first public offering. Lots of laughs and fun the next four years!

Gidddyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeee upPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! Boy I feel better.........Looks like another Jimmy Carter!

He's not even in the White House, yet, and you're already crying. What a surprise.

Obama considers stars for Cabinet (RFK, Jr. for EPA, Caroline at UN)

President-elect Barack Obama is strongly considering Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to head the Environmental Protection Agency, a Cabinet post, Democratic officials told Politico.

Obama’s transition planners are weighing several other celebrity-level political stars for Cabinet posts, including retired general Colin L. Powell for secretary of Defense or Education, the officials said.

RFK Jr.’s cousin, Caroline Kennedy, who helped Obama lead his vice-presidential search, is being considered for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, although some Obama officials doubt she would take it. Obama is indebted to the Kennedy family for a hearty endorsement at a crucial point in the Democratic primaries.

The selection of Kennedy would be a shrewd early move for the new presidential team. Obama advisers said the nomination would please both Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.).

It also would raise the profile of the EPA, which would help endear Obama to liberals who may be disappointed on other issues important to the Democratic left because of budget restrictions.

The EPA enforces clean air and clear water laws. Kennedy, an environmental lawyer and son of the late senator and attorney general Robert F. Kennedy, has long championed a cleaner water supply for New York City.

As an officer and attorney for the environmental-watch group Riverkeeper, Kennedy has taken on governments and companies for polluting the Hudson River and Long Island Sound.

Kennedy, a falconer and white-water rafter, also worked as an assistant District Attorney in New York City.

Kennedy gained Washington experience by fighting anti-environmental legislation in Congress in 1995 and 1996, when Newt Gingrich took over as House Speaker.

The officials were unsure when Obama will make the selection. His transition planners have focused first on top West Wing staff and his economic and national security teams, all of which are scheduled to be announced early in the 76-day transition period. President-elect Bill Clinton was widely criticized for moving too slowly to appoint key staff and Cabinet secretaries during his presidential transition.

So what is your point about RFK jr being the head of the EPA? Oh, that is right your cow's waste do not pollute the Chesapeake Bay do they. We should rip off the top of mountians to get to coal and why would we want clean air and water. We just can't compete with the rest of the world if we have enviro regs in place. Whatever happened to the country that put the first man on the moon?

What's the difference between taking the tops off mountains for coal as opposed to wind power?

My farm is in sod (250 acres) no plowing, no erosion, cows grazed year round. Have my creek fenced off. I'm an extremely environmentally conscious farmer. Conservation and Conservative are synonymous! Besides its more economical and healthier for the cows and makes healthier meat. Try some grass-fed beef! I am also a director on the local Conservation District. I think I know a little about Environmental Policy.

Bobby Jr. is a total burnout moron. Ever see an interview with him? He can hardly finish a sentence! The EPA under Bobby Jr. will be just like DOJ under Bobby Sr. A political witch hunt for their global warming farce agenda.
