Ridges New Coach
I have been hearing nothing but good things out of the practice room at Chestnut Ridge. He really cares about his wrestlers. I think that is what is going to make him one of the greatest coaches in Pennsylvania before his career is over. I know Greg and he is one hell of a guy. From what I heard last Friday he named the practice "work harder than the world day" and he actually lost his voice from motivating his wrestlers. That shows me heart. And with wrestling whether your a coach or wrestler, heart is what wins matches when it all boils down. I have also heard that discipline has been restored in the room. There is no language what so ever. He has had them in the front bridge position for 10 without stopping because someone acted up at school. That team has worked harder in one week the equivalent of a month last year. He is doing a great job and he honestly believes that they are going to win states as a team and I do to. Never again at chestnut Ridge will you hear the ever popular phrase "You don't wrestle for the coach, You wrestle for yourself."

Wow pretty premature if you ask me, winning state duals. Every good team takes it one match at a time. Gotta get to team duals first.

That is by no means what I said. Read it correctly. He believes his team can win it.

Of course Greg is a good guy. He graduated from Tussey Mountain just like your basketball coach!! Remember the Titans!!
Re: Ridges New Coach
I have seen the respect Greg demands first hand. I really think he is the right guy for the job, not that Jim Clark wasn't. There are very few coaches who last as long and have the success that Clark enjoyed. Mr. Lazor is a tough competitor who will not sacrifice his coaching style for any kid that may feel they are beyond criticism. I wish him good luck. As for Randy Meck, he is a bum!!! HAHA---just kiddin', Randy---Good luck in the future with your basketball teams.
