McDanniel got headlocked right off the whistle and was in deep trouble, but he rolled though and pinned Weston. He'll meet Shippey in the finals. Looking forward to the 79th varsity match between the two.

Corle lost a tough on in the ultimate tiebreaker to Julian.

Portage has had an impressive tourney with Perich and Kephart in the finals, and Shook should make it out at 189. Lutz also wrestled tough at 152, but he lost to Darr from NS in the concy quarters.

I agree with some other posters, D5 has done pretty well. Lascari and. Cook meet again here in the concy semis.

Shane reverses Baker with 5 seconds left for the 6-5 win and a trip to states! Some really exciting matches goin on here in the concy semis. Meyers just lost to Makara 9-4. The Chesney match really wore out Meyers.

North Star's Roberts beats Polacek for the 103 crown in 2OT. Very good match, Polacek built an early lead and Roberts faught back.
Hard to believe this the first D5 regional champ since the late Wade Grimes in 2004.
