Richland Hoops

Post by Muddlehuddle »

I saw Richland and Cambria Heights play the other night. Richland played well, hustled, and hung with Heights up till the middle of the fourth quarter. I heard some rumblings in the stands about kids at Richland quitting. What's up with the Rams????

I'm anxious to see CC vs Richland this evening. How good will CC's twin towers do against their 1st LH test. Richland's tallest guy is 6-1 so I'm picking CC by 25.

Your right, I am sure koshute has astounding gameplans and schemes in order to compensate for the lack of height

Well I thought I was going to be right CC opened up w/ a 17-4 lead and then Richland started hitting a high percentage of 3 pointers. It turned out that CC won by 12. I think if Traino would use his big men more the score would've been worse. I really don't understand what hes doing Caleb #52 and Brian#54 could've had a lot more. Holsinger was scoring pretty much any time he got the ball down low or get fouled then they would stop running plays to him . If Richland is on watch out but the Rams aren't really that deep.

Have not watched enough Central Cambria games over the years to make a fair assessment but Coach Traino's coaching ability always seem to be in question. Even though he seems to win year in and year out people always seem to think they should go a little further. I have not watched them play this year but I know how big and talented Holsinger and Handlon are. They would have to be very tough to defend down low.

Well last night they went to a zone for the first time ever and it seemed to work really well. The Richland game #33 would pull Holsinger away from the basket so I think this was a great adjustment. So that was a great sign from coach Traino to change like that. I think thats the way fans r up here b/c Buzzard gets the same criticism thrown his way.

I know I hear the same stuff about Coach Buzzard. When you look back he always seems to put a good ball team on the field in a tough LHAC.
