blacklick valleys student section. Any thoughts?

Witnessed it last year and was totally entertained. Tough gym with the bleacher section directly behind the one basket and the gym is loud. Years back I watched Blacklick and Bishop Carroll square off at BV. BC just got beat by South Side Beaver deep in the football playoffs and the BV Bleacher Bums had a field day. By the half, BCs fans wanted all the BV students ejected and the more they complained about them the worse they got. I do not know if the BC fans even knew the score when they left because they totally got more concerned about the student section than the game itself.

I watched WIndber a few years back and they actually had a band in the bleachers. Played some jams between breaks, good stuff!

Being this is a post regarding the Black Hole at BV I watched a BV game where they targeted opposing fans and did the one chant followed by the five hand claps. They were chanting "Man in a red hat ..clap, clap, clap, clap, clap". This guy was so ticked off that he wanted fight the kids. After he finally settled they fired out "Lady in a blue shirt ..clap, clap, clap, clap, clap". Which was the guys wife, he went bananas and ended up getting escorted from the gym. Might sound stupid but the reaction of the man was classic. They were chanting and he did not realize it was him until about the third or fourth time.

I also witnessed the student section in action in the past. (I didn't know until this post they were aka "The Black Hole"). Anyway, I also saw the fans from the opposing team so irate with the students that the coach had to lecture the parents to ignore them. As circumstances had it, I didn't know anyone on either team, so I found it funny and was laughing my butt off....the fans weren't happy with me either.

I think if they were ignored by the opposing fans then there would be no fuel for the fire.

BV has long history of this in the mid 90's they traveled up to BC for a girls BB game. If u been to BC's gym before you know you have to go up the stands to get out well instead of going up BV's side the students tried to go up in the middle BC's fan section. That didn't go over well and after the game a small riot started at a Ebensburg restaurant fights everywhere you looked police were called it was unreal. BV has some good fans that go and cheer on the team but most go to just cause trouble and start w/ the other teams fans I guess some things just never change over the years..
