College Rule question.

College Rule question.
I know college coaches can't talk to underclassmen, but how can they have them on the sidelines of a home game, even if it's an" unofficial" visit?

It has something to do with "dead periods" involving recruiting. Like from Mid-december to mid-January, coaches cannot have "in person" conversations or meetings with individual kids. Other than that, I guess anytime is allowed.
