Sharon vs. District 6

in 2001 mccort beat sharon in the state quarter finals at mansion park 13-10 in overtime, the game was played in a blizzard and was a great game ill never forget. i remember sharon had this dominate running back that no one thought mccort would stop in overtime, mccort got the ball first and scored on a matt domonkos field goal, but he fumbled and the crushers recovered to seal the victory

We played them twice, 1999 a 24-7 win and we lost in overtime in 2000. That Sharon team had 7 d-1 or d-1AA players, including colts all-pro Marlin Jackson, Terrance Phillips(PSU), Kevin Harris (Pitt), the qb (Schneider I believe, went to Duke started , then transferred to Akron,) and 2 others ended up in the MAC, and the tailback, Parchman went onto all-american status in track, ran like a 4.28 40yd dash.they were loaded. Gummo missed a fg in the last minute that woulda won it and we lost in ot.

Was Gummo the one that missed that extra point at FH a few years ago, giving the Rangers a one point win?

that was ellenberger. That was what really hurt in the Sharon game, Gummo never missed, and that fg was good from 60yds(it hit the concession stand roof at Farrell) just too close to get back inside the upright from that close for a straight on kicker.

United lost to Sharon in the 90s. it was close in the first half but Sharon pulled away it was the year United beat A GOOD RANGER team to get there .the game was played at ERIE PREP.

forgot that the played United. That year the United vs Tyrone game at Tyrone was one of the best games that I ever saw.

I believe that United/FH game was played at the Point Stadium (?) Is that correct? If so, I also think that United ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown.

I think that it was played at Mansion park. I belive that Ryan Robertson was the Defensive player of the year.
