A credit to the CHS coaching staff

Post by supersniper »

How true is it that the CHS baseball staff lead by Dave Hoestine and with the likes of Regi Nevins and AJ Hoestine, is by far the most diversified and complete staff in the area? It is no wonder year after year the program spits out tremedous athletes.
So the question is, are there any better all-around coaching staffs in the area? what do you think?

You would be hard pressed to find a better coaching staff in the entire state of Pennsylvania than that of the Central Scarlet Dragons. The coaching staff is the biggest reason that Central has sent more than 40 players into the college baseball ranks over the years. (For a complete list check out the Central Baseball Web-Site.) Not only are the Dragon's coaches great teachers of the game of baseball, but Coach Hoenstine's staff treats his ballplayers like his own sons and teaches them lessons that are used both on the field and in life.

I gotta agree. Central has a great staff, and they run a great program. Dont forget the Jr high staff also. They are very fundamental, and that gives the varsity a great start.

I would say that Hopewell has a good staff, considering they broke into the NATIONAL RANKINGS a few years back and have sent a few players right past college to the pros....

Are you talking about the Central staff whose team was upset at the hands of United in the 1st round of the 6-AA playoffs this year?

Could someone list the championships the Central Scarlet Dragons have won under this coaching staff? That's what coaches are supposed to do, isn't it?

Coach Hoenstine took over the reigns of the Central Baseball Program in 1992. Over the past 14 years, he has accumulated an overall record of 210 wins and 80 losses for a winning percentage of .733 percent. He has also guided numerous players to the college ranks as well as Christian Bridenbaugh to the pros in 1998. His teams have won two District 6 Championships, five Blair County League Titles, two Laurel Highlands Conference Titles, and four Laurel Highlands Division Titles.
