Why: McGlinchey is a top OL prospect in the nation. He is 6'9", 275 pounds and had offers from great schools across the country such as Florida, FSU, Iowa, PSU, Pitt, Maryland, Iowa, Boston College, Duke, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, Michigan State and more. This big man is a guy that everyone in the country wanted. He has committed to play for the Fighting Irish.

Tell us about your favorite pregame ritual.
I don't really have a pre-game ritual. I just go out and play.
Since you are a Notre Dame guy now... After watching the movie do you think Rudy was offsides?
I don't know haha
If you could have a sports dream come true...what would that one dream be?
To win a national championship at ND, and then go on to play in the NFL.
Tell us about a coach or maybe a teacher who has really had a big impact on you.
All of my coaches have had their own impact on everything I've done in sports.
What is it about Notre Dame that sold you on the place?
Everything. Love it completely!
Have you always been a tall guy or did it all sort of hit at once? 6'9" - dang!
Yeah I've always been tall...
You win a trip to travel anywhere in the world. Where are you going and why?
Probably Ireland. I would love to see it, and hopefully play al ot of golf over there!
What is the best piece of advice you could give to an up and coming recruit?
Enjoy and appreciate the process. It's a very special thing that we get to experience. Not everyone has these opportunities or is as fortunate.
What's it like to get letters from many of the top football programs in the country and they're all trying to get you to play football at their school?
It's a really cool feeling. To know that you're wanted by all these schools that you used to dream of playing for is surreal.

I like to ask this question...you get selected for the Amazing Race...Who are you taking as your partner and why?
Probably my brother Frank. He's kind of a loose cannon and you never know what he has up his sleeves. On top of that he always finds ways to complete tasks and goals.
What was the greatest single moment of your high school career?
Probably when my younger brother and I got to start next to each other for the first time. And the day that I committed to ND.
What is something that most people don't know about Mike McGlinchey?
I love all kinds of music. I love listening to it, and playing it, and singing and dancing. My buddy and I always mess around and play all the time. We are sort of like a band. It's all just so fun to me. (don't know how good we are though)
Big men love their food, so where is your favorite place to eat?

Wildwood, NJ
