Pirate Roster

Post by S Cube »

What do you guys think about the decision to bring back Chad Qualls and Daniel McCutchen? I'm not real sure what the FO is doing right now. There are at least 3 guys who will be back in AAA who are without doubt better than those two. Qualls and McCutchen aren't anywhere near as likely to get guys out RIGHT NOW than Wilson, McPherson, and Morris. I don't understand why we aren't putting our best arms out there. Qualls and McCutchen both are RHP that throw like 91. Which gets hammered at the big league level. Wilson is LH and has top notch stuff. Morris throws in the upper 90's. Last night McPherson looked like a Brad Lincoln clone from earlier in the year. I didn't even mention Locke who is better than some of the people in the bullpen right now. Hate these moves. Hate this bullpen right now. Now is the time to cut the dead weight, not bring it back to the big league club.

Also, Tabata coming back up and batting lead off over Presley is debatable, but I like Presley over Tabata. Presley is faster, a better defender, shows some hustle, and will knock one out of the park once in awhile.

I don't get it either... They continue to let guys at AAA who are better than others. Qualls has been good with the Bucs, but they need to let some of these guys throw!

That didn't take long. Qualls and DMcCutchen basically cost the Bucs the game last night. Qualls has an ERA of 7.94 with the Pirates. He has no zero plus pitches. He is incapable of striking anyone out. Absolutely worthless. DMcCutchen is a AAA mopup guy, period. He has no business ever being on a big league roster. There are literally 15 arms in the minor league system that are better than DMcCutchen.

Navarro couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. No clue why Presley isn't here.

This.

Some of the roster moves in the last month and a half have been quite confusing.
The easiest thing to do in sports is hustle.
