Actually it isn't . The academic and athletic budget are completely seperated.

That would make me MORE pissed if I attended PSU. The athletic community $crews up and the world of academia pays for it.

Donors donate to academics and/or the Nittany Lion Club (STEP). As a donor you decide what part of PSU you want to support. I get calls from the NLC as well as the College of Education.

Do you ever REALLY know where your $$$ goes?

If you're a donor to PSU at this point, I cannot help but wonder...

How much of your $$$ will go to the settlements with Spanier and JVP?

How much of your $$$ will go to paying the $60M NCAA fine?

How much of your money will go to settlements with victims?

How much of your money will go to defending the university?

Do you REALLY think that your university is being honest with you after lying to you since 1950 (the year Paterno was hired)?

Yep and I still believe in what Paterno created at Penn State. I know you'll insert some asinine comment to go with that and I've learned not to care. I know what my beliefs on the whole thing are and I'm ok with people disagreeing.

Let me ask you this... At any point in the last 15-20 years have you handed out the PSU sports cards made by the 2nd Mile at your school? I know we have. The filth that is Jerry Sandusky fooled us all with his scheme. He created the ultimate organization to hide behind while permeating our schools and making his way into the hearts of kids and adults and everyone who thought the 2nd Mile was great.

If money cannot be transferred between academics and athletics, is PSU starting to sweat out some of their athletic programs in light of the 12% decrease in attendance at Beaver Stadium. After all, didn't JoePa always say he needed 7-8 home games every year so his football program could support ALL the athletic programs at Penn State; that the whole athletic community depended on him to keep those programs going???

Paterno CREATED and enabled a culture of enablement, lies, and a conspiracy of silence at PSU to protect his own name and absolutely FABRICATED and flat out LIED to you and the rest of the world about things like success with honor, the grand experiment, and the Penn State way.

I thought that he was as sharp as a tack and knew everything that went on up here? You mean to tell me he didn't know that he had a perv on his hands in 1998 and 2001, and that the perv was running wild in his locker room for another decade plus afterwards? You think he didn't know that Jer was in his team's travel entourage for bowl games and got all expense paid trips with young boys after he knew about 98 and 01?

Was the Ivy League educated self-proclaimed Renaissance man really that naive??

The evidence and proof that JVP knew that he had a perv on is hands and that he ignored it is indeed overwhelming...to the rest of the world outside of the PSU football cult that is.

Your hero would have had the cuffs on him and would have been charged with the rest of them had he lived.

It's not like Paternoster said nothing he told the JVP and he thought that his boss was good enough to tell the cops but he wasn't

So WPIAL I'm not saying that he did all he could do and I'm not defending Penn State but Joe Paterno at least did something and he is probably the only one I still respect. From that scandal.
