Claudia McDowell out for the year

On the same night that she scored her 1,000th career points, Claudia McDowell tore an ACL and will miss the remainder of the year.

Juniata Valley managed to hang on for the win against league leading Penns Valley but her injury seriously dampens hopes for doing well in the playoffs.

That is terrible news. McDowell is a tremendous player and will be missed.

thats a really tough break...talk about an emotional roller coaster...is this girl a senior or will she be back for another year?

THAT IS A SHAME. NOT ONLY IS SHE A GOOD PLAYER, BUT SHE IS A GREAT KID. I HAVE SEEN HER AND THE HORNETS PLAY A COUPLE OF TIMES THIS YEAR. THE HORNETS WILL NOT GO FAR WITHOUT HER IN THE PLAYOFFS!! :frown:

yeah from the games I've seen her play...She leads that team all the way...

Without her leading... I'm not too sure if they'll go very far without her

Wow - What a shame. She is a good player and does alot for the team - Wishing her well and since she is a junior hopefully she will be back on the court next year!!!
