Penguins
15 straight losses...12 straight home losses... Ouch what in store for the team. One thing peguin fans can look forward to is that they will get a good draft pick. Are they going to fire the coach or what. Im a peguin fan so hopefully this very young team can start turning it around

Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.
the penguin franchise is worhtless and over. they are in such a hole financially that they cant afford to get good players, or keep the young ones who develop into decent talent. they remind me of another pittsburgh team that im fond of. pirates? penguins? different sport, same story.

I used to be one of the biggest Pens fans around, just ask oneandonly. However the NHL is about to have a labor strike, and the league wont resume until several teams are contracted. They would have 2 start w/ the lowly bankrupt pens for contraction. The only way the league can survive is w/ fewer teams, something like 18-20 teams. So these draft picks really wont mean anything next year.... :frown:

Small Feeet, Small Feeet!
i am a pens fan too but and i wouldnt like them getting contracted but what choice would the league have looking back on the pens last 2 seasons. the future doesnt look too bright either.

Back in the glory days of Pens hockey (early 90's) they were the top team in the league. Lemieux, Jagr, Francis, Stevens, and the list goes on.... now I don't really follow them much anymore. To bad Pittsburg is gonna lose them...

EVERY team has its down years. If they do the same thing the NFL does with salary cap restrictions etc. Then the pens could win the cup in 3 yrs, or get far like the Panthers did. It doesnt take much for a bad team to turn itself around either, just the right mix of players.

Its too little too late though because they are not going to be able to climb out of the basement. They should just get some of their minor leaguers some expierience in the NHL.

The Flyers are just like the Titanic. They both look good until they hit the ice
