BC, CC and PC
Are any of these programs any better than last year, did more kids come out. Is there a better attitude or culture around these programs. Bright futures?

I think kids can relate to younger coaches better sometimes. Does that always make the difference or make the team better? Not necessarily. But....
Bishop Carroll seemed to have more pep in their step when I saw them this year.
I'd venture to guess kids respond to Shane McGregor well too as they seem to take to him as a basketball assistant the past few seasons.
So from an attitude standpoint? I'd say there's improvement there.

I heard CC has had 4 or 5 kids come out for football in the last couple of weeks despite starting 0-3, I think that speaks volumes. Usually you finish with less than you start with in camp, not the other way around.

Not sure about kids coming out at this point , if you didn't work all summer or go to camp, why should you get to play now. Does not say much for loyalty to the players who didCCDevil2012 wrote:I heard CC has had 4 or 5 kids come out for football in the last couple of weeks despite starting 0-3, I think that speaks volumes. When you're trying to build a program back, you're telling me you would turn players away? It's the fact that kids are showing an interest. That's how you change a program. Besides, most of these kids are probably friends and would rather have them there than worrying about loyalty.

Yeah I recall a few years ago when Bald Eagle had a big season, kids started coming out mid year.
I don't have a huge issue with it. Chances are the kids that join teams mid-season aren't superstars, just kids trying to be part of the team. Doesn't hurt anybody.

Are they football players or just warm bodies? CV has also added players who have been thrown immediately into the action. Are they sufficiently heat acclimated? Don't laugh, that could come into play this weekend.CCDevil2012 wrote:I heard CC has had 4 or 5 kids come out for football in the last couple of weeks despite starting 0-3, I think that speaks volumes. They actually have to go through heat acclimation. That's a real rule. It's hotter now than it was during heat acclimation week anyway.
