AAAAA Final: Gateway vs Archbishop Wood

AW has become a power at Hershey.  Can Gateway compete in this game?

I was at Wood game with Wyoming Valley West a week ago. Wood has a tremendous o and d line. Secondary is athletic and fast. I believe four players have D1 offers. Watch the defensive end - SEC teams are knocking at his door. Gateway will have their hands full .

How is the Gateway freshman? Apparently he is going to be the next big WPIAL star, but was carted off the field in recent weeks, hope he is OK.

Yep, I agree.  WPIAL teams only won 3 of the 6 state championships (all public schools) all in blow out fashion.  They should probably just fold District 7 because their 5A champ, Gateway, beat the District 6 and District 3 champ but couldn't match up against a Philly all star team that beat the Eastern 6A rep by 2 scores.

SJP beat Wood by 3 touchdowns this year.  Gateway didn't show up.

The WPIAL has won 44 state championships.  Far more than any other district in PA.  Took 3 of 6 this year.  I think they are just fine...
