After being 9-0 and winning the LHAC crown, Bedford will have a rebuilding year so to say. They lose Harris, the most explosive player in Bedford history(argueably) a wideout in Shane Fox 2 of the most productive linebackers in the area last year in Taylor Claar and Mike Young(an impressive fullback as well). Upfront Bill Dibert is gone along with parttime starter Jesse Middle. Other than that, no other notables will be gone off of Bedfords team. The line will be solid again this year just as lasts years was too. Sill will be back as Center, Wagner will more than likely be at one of the guards along with Kensinger and the first two will anchor the defensive line as well with Kensinger at OLB. Hickey will be a tackle as well as a starting defensive end. Kyler Ford will more than likely be the Q for this year's Bison squad and Derek Harris John Aaron and Jesse Feaster will be in the backfield, one of the first two being the fullback. Eddie Sotirokos will be a starter at wideout and Feaster could see some time there as well along with Seth Roy. The sophomores of this year will have alot of opportunities to play, but will have to work hard at it because as a whole, Bedford played alot of underclassmen last year and not that many positions will be open. The QB, one of two tackles, one of two guards, full back and wideout are also open on offense. Two linebackers will need to be found this year as Kensinger will be returning after a solid season last year. To replace Mike Young and Taylor Claar will be a tough task, but the younger guys @ Bedford can do it. A reasonable record for this year will be 7-2 maybe 8-1 at best, but it could also go as bad as 6-3 or 5-4.

Re: NEXT SEASON
Harris wouldn't make the top 5 Bedford County most explosive players!! Sorry to bust your Bison bubble!

This year, yes he would, and if you would read, I said nothing of the county, I said Bedford history, as in Bedford High School.
And I love your posts, all you do is disagree and state no facts or reasons as to why you are right or the other person is wrong. Give me 4 guys that are better than Troy as an explosive football player on the football field and I'll give you 4 reasons as to why Troy is better. Step up Holly...

Re: NEXT SEASON
Ham, what do you think of the Jaber kid? He made some big hits on special teams and I thought he could be the next Mike Young. Don't know how he would be as a running back, but it looked like he wasn't afraid to hit people on the defensive side of the ball.
He is definately a player, 100% motor on the entire time he is on the field. One problem he has is his lack of strength, mostly because of the season that we are in right now, he doesnt want to get to big for that reason, IMO. Jaber will be one of the Sophomores that could be at a linebacker next season or also a defensive end to replace Troy leaving on that side of the ball. Trevin will more than likely be an outside LB and it is entirely possible that 2 upcoming Juniors will take the other 2 linebacking spots. Jaber being one, and Cory Arnold being another. Another kid too look out for is Kyle Divito(OT, DL). If he can recover 100 percent from his knee injury this past season he will be the biggest man eater the bisons will have upfront in 2005.

I would agree with your linking of Troy Harris in one of the top 5 kids in the history of Bedford County in terms of his explosiveness. Troy is a kid who can glide..glide..glide..and then, boom. He's gone.
Having coached both the Nastasi boys, their athleticism was a bit different. Joe had a tremendous stride and unbelievable hands. He was especially adept on the fade routes. His ability to make adjustments on the ball was uncanny for a high school athlete.
AJ was quicker than Joe, but not as physical as T. Harris in my opinion. Troy has become thick in the shoulders and chest which should help with his durablility at the next level.
Many of you will obviously not like to hear this one, but little "A" Nastasi was the best competitor in terms of keeping his cool that I have ever been around. It didn't matter if there were 25 fans at a baseball game at Forbes Road or 1000 screaming lunatics at
Tusey Mountain during a hoops game. AJ's facial expression never changed...nor did his intensity level.
The longer I am around athletics, I think those triats can be developed to some point, but for the most part, they are wired in your system when you enter this world. AJ had a gift. Troy Harris is gifted. Derek Hariris is gifted. The Barefoot kid from Ridge is gifted. I am just glad to be alble to enjoy their abilities.
