now that states are over and we have had time to relax, let's look at next year. i would like to know who has what coming back. who do you think will be the team to beat. i think d-5 as a whole will be stronger next year and have more regional and state placewinners.what do you think?

I strongly believe that NS will be the power house, once again, next year in D-5. They lose 3 starting seniors, Timulak, Boyer, and Fisher (HVW). They have a lot of depth to recover from Timulak and Boyer in the middle weights and will prolly have a not too bad anchor for heavyweight. This past year CR was the heavy favorite throughout the year until NS upsetted them at Duals, if you would call it an upset. I think at the beginning of next year its going to be NS the favorite and now they will have to compete to stay on top and not fall. Chris and Tony lascari should both place next year so they should get some individual medals and sammy zimmerman has potential within the next 3 years to place as well at hershey. Also, The littlest and last of the Lascaris, Joe is coming up next year? or maybe the year after... not sure...but they should get a few medals out of him as well in his high school career... Tony with 100 wins should pass up his brother for the all-time wins in D-5 next year. Sal now holds that record with 132 career wins.

actually if you count mike boyer who won 25 matches his sophomore year but couldn't beat out matt or tony for a spot this year they will have 12 returning starters. me thinks they make a serious run for team championship next year. 5 of them had over 30 wins this year

North Star is the clear favorite next year, but Ridge and Bedford will be pretty good too. Everett is expected to have a full line-up. NB will be strong group of 10th graders coming up, and Hyndman will return the killer B's. I look for a good year for D-5

Howard Diehl, Chad Hall, Trevin Kensinger, Bryan Sill, David Wagner, Dustin Clayton, Matt Deputy, Jacob Dudek, Brandon Hartrampf, Jeremiah Jaber, Tyler Melius, Kevin Miller, Kane Robertson, Cole Schnably, JT Wakefield, Ryan Will

I don't think there are many moving up from the Jr High either. Most of the guys on this list have some experience, but they will have some holes to fill.
