Honesty is the best policy?
Honesty is the best policy?
Your grandmother comes home from the hospital and you go to visit her. You ask her if there's anything she needs. She asks if you could run to get her some groceries, and tells you to take her car. You drive to Giant Eagle and as you pull into the parking lot, you notice that she has a handicapped tag hanging from the rearview mirror. Do you then park in a handicapped spot near the entrance, or find a regular parking space farther away?

Regular spot

How about if you took your grandma to the grocery store and it seems as though the handicap spots are all taken by people with no signs of being handicapped...not on the license plate or a tag on the mirror...how mad would you be if you and your grandma had to park further away?

I honestly wonder how many people have made their own handicap parking pass or something like that.

I'm sure it's possible...I see people getting disability for asthma, but yet they smoke a pack of cigarettes a day so I'd say if you wanted it bad enough, you could get it.

the way i see it, if there are a bunch of empty spaces real close, i wont take them, in the mind set that some older person, or handicapper w/out a tag needs to park there, case in point my pap, hes old, but hes healthy, just not so steady on his feet any more, you see what i mean, i know some person might come and take it, but a person like my pap could come and need it too, plus i wouldnt park in the handicap spot

I completely agree with you flybynight...I have been taking my grandma to therapy for her back. I had someone come up to me and yell because I was in a handicap spot but I (the driver) was fine, even though my grandma can't walk more than 100 feet at a time.
