Money talks. He'll get that team in MAC contention, and that's all that matters.

Thought everyone was thrilled about partying after the Pitt game. Guess that's ONE for underage drinking and ONE for DUI. Must not be alot to do in Athens.

Read the article about Solich in the tribune yesterday. Here's what it said: " Ohio coach Frank Solich was CONVICTED of drunk driving Monday, two days after police spotted him slumped over the wheel of his vehicle. Solich appeared to be passed out in his vehicle, which was facing the wrong direction on a one-way street. He pleaded no contest, had his license suspended for 180 days and received a $250 fine. The university said Solich would remain in charge of the Bobcats"....Reminds me of October 2003 when Penn State star receiver Tony Johnson got a DUI, and Coach Paterno said, "Obviously it will all get blown out of proportion because he is a football player. BUT HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO ANYBODY". This, of course, drew the ire of local MADD chapters. Shows you how important people are treated. Only this year, defensive back-up Paul Cronin of Penn State was sighted for public drunkeness and was BANISHED from the team, no ifs, ands, or buts. No questions asked. Maybe Cronin's problem was, that he walking around and wasn't in a car!!!

Hey if Cronin would have worked harder and won a starting spot he wouldn't be banished.

That's what I'm talkin' about. Solich gets a reprieve. Johnson a slap on the wrist. But Cronin was out of the program faster than **** through a goose.

Slightly a different story from the one I have heard all day, where it was quite a scene where there was a significant amount of students at the scene resulting in organize chaos. Who knows....

Nothing will happen to him, even if he was U President he comes back next year....

So Paul Cronin, a member of the Nittany Lions for ALL those bad years, has a little too much to drink and, not even being in a car, is seen intoxicated in State College and he is BANISHED from the team. No questions asked. No second chance. Not to be part of their great year. What happened to the "he didn't do anything to anybody" philosophy?

After his arrest, Solich was taken before the local magistrate. When Solich walked into the troom, the judge said, "Mr. Solich. I suppose you know that you have been brought here for drinking". Solich replied, "Great! When do we start?"

I hope you people realize that I wasn't serious with that Cronin comment.
