I wonder if Pittsburgh could get an NBA team after the Penguins finally get out of town?

Re: Steeler Basketball
The Steeler's do have a decent team. It's even a winning team. Something most PSU fans are not familiar with.

Re: Steeler Basketball
I'd rather lose every game than be known as annual pretenders. No one is disappointed when Penn State loses basketball games.

Annual pretenders? If I recall, Pitt was picked to finish in the bottom half of the Big East this season. Most experts picked a barely .500 record and a trip to the N.I.T. (something PSU fans are were excited about)
Pitt overachieved in my opinion. They finished in the top half of the Big East. They made a run in the Big East Tournament before losing the Championship game to a red-hot Syracuse team.
They won one game in a Tournament they were not even supposed to be in.
Solid season Pitt. The future is extremely bright with four starters and 8 of their top 10 coming back next year.

Re: Steeler Basketball
That's the problem with penn state in a nutshell. They don't mind losing, and the poor home game attendance by their fans proves it.

Re: Steeler Basketball
So I guess you think the same can't be said about Pitt football?

I don't like it when Pitt loses, but you'd rather lose than each and every year be mentioned as one of the better teams in basketball. That's a misery loves company statement coming from someone who can't stand Pitt's SUCCESS in basketball. DeChellis would love to be an annual pretender. Instead, he's still hoping for that elusive winning season. Maybe next year his recruit will help him get over the hump.
