He used his weapon legally!!!! Self defense or not, what is Meriweather doing with a handgun? The university actually let an assistant coach rent a house to players. You have got to be kidding me with this. These kids should be living in campus housing ON THE CAMPUS until they graduate!!! If there are problems at the dorms, build athlete housing that is nicer and gated. Nicer housing can be used as a recruiting weapon, and although that in itself is shady and unethical, that's the way the game is played. You can justify it by saying they are celebrities. I can't believe schools let these kids live off-campus.
