Now a lot of my pals here were sincerely concerned when 2 Pitt freshmen missed some practice due to homesickness! Well I am happy to report both M. Matthews & TJ Porter returned to the field Monday & continue their push for the 2 deep!
In other Pitt happenings Monday eve H. Hynoski, the top rated FB in Pa., chose Pitt over Iowa & Ohio St.....word has it that J. Maybin a fantastic athlete from Ohio will choose the Panthers in the coming days...Pitt continues scouring Fla. for a RB, is high on a Fla DE who runs a 4.6 forty & remain in pusuit of WR Toney Clemons from Valley H.S.!
A new twist/addition to this yrs. class will be the addition of perhaps 3 JUCO players.....
B. Williams a stud in the Big 33 game a couple yrs ago will enroll in Pitt in Jan. - Vman predicts he starts @ safety next yr.
Tommy Duhart, a stud D lineman, is @ Coffeyville JC & has bulked to 285; like B Wms., T. Duhart signed with Pitt out of HS...
Darel Strong, a 6'4'' 250 lb DE & brother of current Pitt TE, list Pitt as a HIGH lean despite offers from Fla St., Fla., & Nebraska!
