At least when we do talk, it's about the team we follow. Not some team of whom we should have cares in the world about because they don't play!
Hypocrite.

Re: SHUT UP PSU fans!
LOL, as usual there are wayyyyyyyy more posts from Pitters about PSU than about Pitt. They have a big game against MSU this weekend, and the talk isn't about that. If they beat MSU, they have a great shot to win 8-10 games (should though with Citadel, Toledo, Cincy, USF, UConn, Syracuse, and Central Florida).
I still have faith in the Nits to be a 1-3 loss team this year. That is the same prediction I had before the season and it won't change now because of a snowball loss in ND. Things weren't as bad as the final score indicated. I'm not trying to make everyone believe that, so don't jump all over me for it... it is just my belief.
Also, please note the opponents listed above and talk crap on a PSU schedule anytime and I will just laugh like a small child. No matter how bad PSU's OOC schedule is...the opponents above are disgusting.
Any chance you guys could make some posts about Pitt? That is what most fans around the country do...they talk about their team. I guess the little sister syndrome has kicked in again though making PSU football jump to the top of your college football cares.

Coach Says "Also, please note the opponents listed above and talk crap on a PSU schedule anytime and I will just laugh like a small child. No matter how bad PSU's OOC schedule is...the opponents above are disgusting. "
Let's examine both teams remaining schedules. In fact let's grade them.
Top 15 opponent is an "A", 16-40 Bowl qualifier type's are "B's", 41-75 are the C's, Below that is a "D" and I-AA's are F's
PITT PENN STATE
Mich St. B Mich St. B
Citadel F Youngstown F
Toledo D Illinois D
USF C Minnesota C
Rutgers B Purdue B
Syracuse D Temple D
C.Fla C N'western D
U.Conn C Wisconsin B
Louisville A Michigan A
WVU A Ohio St. A
Total 22/2.2 Total 22/2.2
Hmmmmm, both end with 2.2 GPA's....Grades are EQUAL
Do I hear some laughing like a small child out their in bleachercoaches land???? Who's schedule is disgusting????
Be careful to check and compare before you make outrageous statements. I count more "disgusting" games (D's/F's) on PSU's schedule (4) than Pitt's (3) and one of Pitt's just got beat in OT by a FG to Iowa, arguably the Big 10's #4 or 5 Team!!

Re: SHUT UP PSU fans!
That Iowa team was playing on the road against a bad team, BUT they were without Tate which is a big deal for them. Still, they shouldn't have been that close.
Also, why in the world would we look only at current schedules?
Add Notre Dame and Akron (just beat NC State on the road) for PSU
Add UVA and Cincy for Pitt
PSU's is better by far. A top 5 team there to add on as well as an Akron team you'll find out is better than you think. I would put Akron as EQUAL with UVA. UVA just won this weekend at home by a point against Wyoming in OT. So that puts Cincy (D) against ND (A). Put Akron and UVA as (C).
I also know Louisville and WVU are very good teams. To me though they aren't the same as Mich and OSU. OSU just spanked Texas in Texas. It would be nitpicking, but OSU could be A+ and Mich A. I believe in WVU, I just don't think they are OSU.
To add something else... there is no way the teams could control this, but WVU and Louisville are at Heinz. ND and OSU were away for the Nits. Again, no control over it, but going on the road against the bigguns is much more difficult than playing at home. ND and OSU- combined 180,000+ in hostile environments has to mean something....

Re: SHUT UP PSU fans!
We would look at current schedules because you specifically mentioned teams Pitt had left to play and how putrid they were and how many they should win.
I'm not so dumb that I don't realize that ND is much better than Cinci....and I agree UVA and Akron are basically equal. Let's call ND an A and Cinci a D, divide by 12 and you still have less than .3 difference in their schedules which is next to nothing.
Louisville is already ranked ahead of Mich in at least two polls and if they beat Miami this week they will really jump. And who are you, me or anyone to say WVU wouldn't spank Texas too....bottom is OSU and WVU are both for real and Top 5 teams anyway you cut it.
If OSU is an A+ then Temple is a D- ... not going to nitpick. I realize you could argue these things, hey I could have easily downgraded Purdue to a C from a B and shown Pitt as a winner....bottom line is there much more equal schedules than you think. It all comes down to that blue & white perception of the Big 10, the "names" of the teams, etc.
PSU schedule better "by far" is just not reality....not this year anyway.
Home and Aways....c'mon, if we were in this same argument in 2005 or 07 there would be no mention of it in your argument. It is negligible....PSU will be an underdog on the road to Mich/OSU and Pitt will be a dog at home to L-ville and WVU.
You have failed to show me that their schedule is better "by far" at all. Nobody on this or any other forum who was neutral and really studied the ranking of some of these teams would disagree. Problem is, until you look into it, appearance would be that (as an example) C.Florida is weaker than Northwestern or Illinois when in fact they are much closer in the rankings to Purdue or Wisconsin and are "FAR BETTER" than 4 of PSU's remaining opponents.

Re: SHUT UP PSU fans!
ND, Mich, and OSU are better than WVU, Louisville, and ??? as a whole... easily in my opinion. That is how I look at things. Next year, along with Mich, OSU, ND, add Iowa to the mix.
The Pitt guys are the ones who rip PSU, and in most people's opinion, PSU's schedule is better than Pitt's, this year AND next. So I just put in my .02 as to why they should just SHUT UP like PSU was told to do.

Also how can you compare Youngstown State=The Citadel???
Look here at D1-AA rankings. It is like the difference in playing WVU or Northwestern in D-1.
http://sportsline.com/collegefootball/polls/full/diviaa
This is a bad D-1AA team that only won 4 games last year. Here is their results over the last several seasons. http://citadelsports.cstv.com/sports/m- ... sched.html.

But you fail to mention that the 'Del whipped their arch-rival VMI last yr.!!
Hey, I hate to take the nitters to class....again but you fail to realize that the schedules go in opposite directions & in 2/3 yrs... then on, Pitt's ooc schedule is going to be ridiculously hard(Va Tech, ND for 8 yrs, Miami, Iowa, Va & MSU each away, Clemson, etc..)
Meanwhile back in H Valley look who you play in the upcoming years & we'll note their current Sagarin rating just to keep perspective in that, there are 119 D1 teams, I believe:
Kent 185, Temple 173, Fla Int 132, E Mich 159, Buff 148 & you have Akron & Youngstown this yr & you criticize Pitt's schedule???? I said it going into this yr, thank goodness you have ND for 2 yrs.....& I knew they would embarrass you....they go off after 07 & you have 2 yrs of a total joke! And you play all these weak sisters @ Home!!!
Remember Vman's UPS tailgate foreshadowing of future home games.......
As the nits gather round the grill in the lot passing sodas & dogs someone says..."by the way who do we play today anyway'' His pals answer," I don't know, Temple, Slippery Rock, Rockwood...one of them"...."geez we're getting ripped off with all these friggin lousy home games"....."@ least we can stay in the lot & party on''...wait a minute, they passed some stupid law that you can't party during the game....who passed that any way?? Joey? Geez, he's 94 & telling us we gotta spend all this $ for a jv game & we can't party on instead of watching these jokes, I think he's getting old!!

Re: SHUT UP PSU fans!
Oh I'm sorry, what a difference maker that is, thanks for the revelation. Should I score Youngstown F+ and Citadel F- ???
Let's face it, an F is an F and neither team, nor any I-A team, should be playing a I-AA school. Both teams should win by 30+ easily so does it really matter whether Citadel or Y-town is better?
Typical Nittany picking because you don't like the results presented.
