District 5 Playoff Positioning

Post by soccer star »

Most spots are set the only teams that can move up or down are McConnellsburg,JCS,Fannett-Metal, and Salisbury
.McCburg beats Ridge on Wednesday and they get 2nd no matter what and if Fannett-Metal Loses they will stay in 5th , If Fannett-Metal wins both games and Salisbury loses to Ridge Fannett-Metal moves to 4th.

8. Berlin 4-11-2 @ 1.Rockwood 18-1
7. Conemaugh Twp. 8-10-1 @ 2.McConnellsburg 15-3-1
6. North Star 9-8-2 @ 3.Johnstown Christian 13-4
5. Fannett-Metal 11-7 @ 4.Salisbury 12-6

The Salisbury vs Ridge game is cancelled because Ridge had a playoff game today. If Fannet-Metal beats Forbes Road they will get the 4th spot. In my opinion Ridge should have had to forfit and that would of gave Salisbury the 4th spot and they would have hosted the 4-5 game.

By rule Fannett-Metal is not allowed to host a playoff game when its against a somerset county school. The rule says that the game should be played at a neutral site in bedford county. Does anyone know where this "nertral site" will be?

Well if you recall on my last post i said if Fannett-Metal wins their last 2 games and Salisbury had to lose to Ridge for FM to move up.
There has been one development i didnt know about FM`s last game which is Thursday against Carson Long will not count for Districts as it is past the cut off date , so unless Salisbury had a game on Wednesday and lost that game ,FM will be traveling to Salisbury for their 1st round game.

The top 4 always get home field advantage no matter what, unless Fannett-Metal would be hosting a Somerset County School , then it would be at a neutral site.
