Why did Westy and CC cancel their game

I saw on pafootballnews that Central cambria is now playing Bishop Guilfoyle. Why did the Westy and CC game get scratched

Isn't it ironic that the AD that scheduled a 10th game with CC is now the haed football coach at WH. Obviously cancelling the game was not agreeable to both sides otherwise why would CC go out and get BG for a game. Could it be that WH's head coach wanted to end the season with a winning record?? :evil:

Good point. Unlike in football, Westmont has a legitimate shot at the LHAC and D6AA titles in hoops. I'm sure a couple of other schools think they do as well.
Why play a meaningless game against CC when they could be practicing hoops? Well, because you scheduled it. That should be good enough.

I agree packers 4. If you schedule a game then play it. If they feel that this is a meaningless game then why play any games?? Don't they want to give as much game experience as they can to their younger players? Not to metion the fact that they stuck CC with having to go out and get a game. What WH did is inexcusable!!!

Ya, if you schedule the game, you should play it, no matter what, whether you're 10-0, 5-5 or 0-10. I was glad to see CC was able to schedule BG for this week. Like to see who schedules Westmont in the future if this "extra" week thing continues.

I was told this morning that CC cancelled it. This doesn't make sense, but either way, does anybody know for sure? All I hear is assumptions so far. How about not calling it "inexcusable" until somebody knows for sure.

Isn't Merriman a freshman? Wouldn't it be something if after his senior season he ends up 10 yards short of the all-time Westy rushing record? One more game may have meant alot?
