Anthony Moronelli, the worst quarterback on a depth chart full of terrible quarterbacks, has released some sort of statement today on Scout.com. You can't read the article because the site is a pay site, but here is what you can read:

"I'm tired of people thinking I'm this idiot quarterback," the Nittany Lion junior said. In part two of the interview FOS contributor Eric Thomas was in on, Morelli also talked about his relationship with his father, the hateful e-mails he received during the 2006 season, why he didn't go to Pitt and more.

"I'm tired of people thinking I'm this idiot quarterback": WELL... let's see here... when the rumors bound that the people in the box are actually telling you who to throw the ball to, since you're too mindless to go through progressions, maybe that's why people think you're an idiot. Or maybe it was the 85% accuracy rate he has of throwing the ball 9-12 feet over people's heads. Maybe it's because he continually hangs his receivers out to dry, or maybe because he is slower than my grandmother, who I know for a fact can throw a football more accurately than Morelli. My 84 year old grandmother has hit Chris Bell right in the numbers for multiple touchdowns. Come over to her house and she will put a beatin' on your defense and then cook you a hot dog.

He talked about the relationship with his father???? What, is he a member of the SS??? Who the hell cares!!!! "Me and my dad are getting along great." Thanks, dawg, so are me and my dad, too. I'm glad that this is newsworthy.

Why he didn't go to Pitt: Being on the same sideline as Cavanaugh, this puts Morelli in a very bad position, because Cavanaugh makes Morelli look like a freakin' genius. Who wants to put that much pressure on themselves?

And more: No, there's not much more, Anthony Morelli sucks.

Nothing to do with that at all:as a matter of fact i was glad @ the time the Nitwit pulled a Benedict A. I heard his father was a pain in the BUTT, way back then & the kid was dumb as a bag of rocks!

And if you missed it, there was a full length article in last weeks Post Gazette about Ants Moronelli & the problems he had with his HS coach???? I read this thing & said to myself...why was this even printed!

Great Scott!!! I finally got around to reading this. This just once again proves how insane HS coaches are nowadays. It is high school football!!! These coaches take this stuff so seriously, all it does is turn the kids away from playing. HS coaches need to realize that they are nothing more than HS coaches and that nobody cares about HS football. They should be doing everything possible for those kids and everything possible to help get kids scholarships, regardless of whether or not you do truly believe they do not deserve the scholarship or can read a defense. Who are you to say that a kid doesn't deserve to get letters, and go hang out w/ Mark Madden, who I might add was a commentator for professional wrestling as well as is a 700 pound loudmouth who never has anything intelligent to add to any discussion, and bash a kid. Maybe Mark Madden and the Penn Hills coach should go for a jog or a light meal instead of playing lazy shuffleboard and watching their guts get as big as their egos.

Yes, Anthony Morelli has had a rough season. He may even be a terrible quarterback. But that is really besides the point, here. The point is that people thought they could develop him into a great QB, and they pursued that angle. How is this new QB at Penn Hills ever going to feel confident that his HS coach won't do the same to him?

You'll like this. Although a few yrs. younger than Vman, I knew several of Madden's frat brothers back in the 70's...their nickname for MM>>>>>> Flounder!
