All Dressed Up, & No~Where To Go !!!!
ATHLETIC ORPHAN:@ A Philadelphia-area private school has found itself without a league and without many options because it does not want to join the P.I.A.A.
Perkiomen School, located in Pennsburg, Montgomery County, will be without a league because its current league, the Keystone State Athletic Conference, will dissolve at the end of this school year.
Two schools are leaving to join other leagues, leaving Perkiomen School and the Church Farm School without a league affiliation.
Perkiomen's athletic director, Ken Baker, said that joining P.I.A.A. in order to gain acceptance into nearby leagues did not suit his school.
"It would have a significant impact on our school calendar as a private school if we had to go into the P.I.A.A. as it is now," Baker said. "We're out on one of those ice caps, and it's cracking all around us."
